DO you think Oakey & Nicky Holloway were booked / played?
Jeannie Hopper was great! I may well have been at that party … ![]()

. Still loving going out and dancing together just as much, if not more 25 years later…
Her friends with her that night would also become my best mates (one is now my sister in law too
) and coincidentally one of them is having his 50th bday this weekend, was able to use ai to tidy the ticket up and plan to gift one to him as a keepsake…
Time flies
I bumped into Collin Patterson last year, putting some tunes on at a mate’s 60th - he’s still got it!
They were giving away the first Muzik (where this came from). Remember a bit of Krust and Kenny Ken. Not much in between. Carl Cox on an outdoor stage at some point!
Used to pop in to see Trevor Madhatter Nelson often as worked over the road on TCR, later on Jazzy B’s brother Ed used to do all our repro. Only went to the Africa Centre once, kicked off outside after and put me off going back. Back to Life really did change the world.
Was this the one near Oxford? The hottest May bank holiday weekend since last week I reckon. The queue to get out of the car park the next morning took bloody hours!
Think this pic of me was taken there ![]()
Think so Chris - brilliant
.
Wonder what Sheep On Drugs do these days…
When lush was the proper place! That sound system. Stephen porter I’m sure has said it was one of the best systems and mixers (a&h) royalty he’s ever used.
They did the 12 Step recovery programme and turned their lives around so now they’re Mutton On Mineral Water.
