I try and persuade him but he’s not really interested - I did manage to get him to play a few at a bar gig of mine once. this was 9 years ago though…here’s the evidence!

Though all 1990 I heard pretty much no one else but early 91 I visited Quad for piano heaven then was seduced by the balaeric madness of Flying at Venus
Similair to Weatherall going from Throbbing Gristle to Chris Rea I went from Test One to Bruce Hornsby in about 2 months
Given the Garage held about 300 & this was £3 how did the afford DJs from Sheffield & the Judge - the economics then

I doubt Al would have charged much for that night and Winston and Parrot just had a short trip down the M1, so the same. Jules, at this point, was by no means the big name he became later.
My biggest worry would have been how many people you would get in on a Wednesday, but fair play for trying.

Used to see them in The Wag in that garb sans footwear, seemed mental to me with all the broken Holsten Pils bottles on the floor, never even heard of Pikes back then.

28 years ago today. Not sure why, but I searched for the 2K What time is Love gig at the Barbican on YouTube the other day, and spotted me and my ex Cecilia on the front row for the first time!
Then went on a mission to find my goodie bag (still have the T shirt also but could not locate)
