Let's share classic and iconic music ads / flyers / posters etc

I went to the Tony Humphries one, he played Djamin intro for what seemed like hours
I wasnt that big a fan of club but they had some good DJs for mansfield

They still had a pool table in side room, Kenny Dope was late for his set as it was winner stays on & he kept winning

I then went straight to Brum & after a quick bath went to Engine House at Bromsgrove all dayer

I went to this a few times 1992?? Venue 44 was some kind of working men’s club but actually a pretty decent space from what I remember (which is unsurprisingly very little).

Ive got a bit of a thing for discovering big name artists playing obscure locations. This is from June 1990…

Oakey, monetizing content since '88

Was torn between posting here or in the Light Relief thread as it looks like it couldve been a piss take, despite it being from a copy of a Record Mirror.

I posted that on the site before. There’s something kind of genius about it. The idea of ringing up to listen to a radio station… Be great to hear what they had on it…

Dave Pearce did a Hip Hop equivalent which led to Hip Hop Connection magazine being published so there was definitely an audience for that kind of thing.

Cant help thinking they could’ve come up with a better name for Oakey’s one though!

38p a minute back in 1989 … kerrrrching

Loved HHC, read it religiously every month from '89 to about '94, never knew the bit about Dave Pearce though.

ha, almost one for the small claims thread? similar story: at a chicago afterhours back in the mid-90’s, i spent the night absolutely schooling a hella stoned dj sneak at 9-ball.
