For me, this has got it all. Bassline, synth, squealing horns, Cindy ecstasy and a great video. Hope this is getting played out this weekend

Superb.

I bought some Petri dishes off Amazon, but had to send em back.

They were just a breeding ground for bacteria.

I remember hearing the 12’ of Tainted Love on a huge club system when it came out, had a big impact, gets pretty moody, and Non Stop Erotic Cabaret was my fist ever LP purchase.

On a slightly related note I was walking past a bar in Manchester city centre in the middle of the afternoon last weekend and the DJ was playing the OG Tainted Love and it sounded fantastic, full and rich and loud.
Looked through the window as I passed and it was heaving and everyone seemed to be dancing and singing along.

Nobody would know or remember it now, but Petridis wrote some absolute drivel in the early 2000s about how dance music was dead. I think he still had that Mixmag mindset at the time that the world revolved around superclubs. There was one article where to prove his point he went to some AATW cheesefest in Lancashire to show kids ‘putting the fun back into clubbing’

I remember. Can’t stand him and rarely agree with his reviews, although his obits are usually pretty good.
