I went to the Trent Bridge Inn (Wetherspoons) instead. I swerved the full English but their egg and sausage muffin was decent.
The Bloody Mary they served me was dire though. It was just vodka and tomato juice. Not even a token celery stick.

Oh man, the worst in area - If youd have said today I could have given you tips as just round corner from me
Next time ( unless your a Spurs fan down for the day)
Personally not a full fry up ( dont like eggs / beans / toms warned up) but a goood sausage / bacon / black pudding cob
Also being from grantham cant beat a bit of grilled haslet
( realise we are getting off topic here)
I buy my friends a haslet loaf from home town at Christmas
Ask Lexx if he would like one
Dude ! - we need to do breakfast together sometime! “Hold the eggs” “Save yer beans” “can we have double mushies and top tunes please?”
Edit: happy to give the haslet a whirl. Why not?!
Doubble Mushies are my go to as well!
Ramekins on plates kind of piss me off.
My butler won’t listen though.
No, I’m definitely not a Spurs fan.
I was waiting for my mate to pick me up to watch County (Stockport) play at Wigan.
New entry via a mate this morning. I’d forgotten about this spot. From a barge on the Thames. £13 with pints of tea![]()
Still got that terrible cutlery I see
Good chippie reviews too, very thorough as you say
I feel a bean reservoir is essential. Can’t have a bean incursion into fried egg territory.
This would be akin to Germany invading Poland in 1939.
In addition chopped tomatoes have no business being anywhere near a fry up, everything needs to be fairly dry fried with no grease on the plate.
Hopefully under the new prime minister we’ll see significant changes that make these essential rules part of statutory legislation.

Just noticed Mr Partridge’s statement earlier in thread. Correct, as he was about the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre.
As long as the sausages are crispy and the bacon well done and the eggs runny I’m good. Cheap toast a bonus
Cheap toast is essential, and lots of it. Proper butter though
