I’m going! Looking forward to it.
Whats left of DiY doing a 35th anniversary thing. Presumably Grace Sands, Jack and Pezz. Maybe Osborne.
Yes will try and check that. An old Jack tape was one of my most worn out. Loved the deep stuff he played
I’m going for the first time and can
…not…wait !
And being an old Notts boy will try and get to the DIY reunion. FK at s also on the must and FK at the NYC lowdown / block9 is a must see.
(I’m also looking forward to seeing New Model Army for the first time but that’s a whole different topic)
No more rabbit hole sadly

As a newbie going to Glasto for the first time, does anyone have any tips on where to camp?
I’ve been told to avoid camping anywhere near Arcadia > but otherwise have absolutely no clue! Any ideas from seasoned veterans?
Ah dammit, wanted to get in there this year!
Will be heading on the Thursday, playing Interstage and Maceos across the weekend
Interstage was also great last year. The Amateurism crew slinging down the Balearic and disco goodness for hours on end. Perfect for that Good Block sound.
Yep, finally doing it this year. This bit looks ace and my 12 year old tells me SZA is unmissable.
Will be attending
Any tips on blagging wristbands for San remo / silver hayes gratefully accepted…
We’ve got ho$pitality band$ again but extra wiggles always welcome
Do you mean The Loving Arms ? The crew bar/backstage for Silver Hayes? I got in there last year with the Hospitality wristband.
My in-laws live in Pilton so I’m lucky and can retreat to a bed at the end of a hard day’s night. But when I used to camp we headed for somewhere up near the stone circle. There is a trade off in terms of proximity to the stages and a bit more space and quiet. For camping I’d go for the latter as nothing worse than when you finally get to sleep and you’re continually woken up by people stumbling into your tent/music from all night stages. Hillside is preferable to the valley for drainage - less chance of waking up in a tent that’s being washed away in a river of mud
Any blags on hospitality wristbands also appreciated as we are slumming it this year
2 days until we land, what’s on people’s radar?
My fist time
Rough plan is
Fri: PJ Harvey > LCD Soundsytem > Idles > Amelie Lems or Optimo
Sat: Francois K > Lankum > Little Simz > Orbital > New Model Army (nostalgia gig)
Sun: Luke Una > Jordan Rakei > Nia Archives > Justice
Justice have been one of my recent discoveries. Had always dismissed them as a poor mans Daft Punk but they’ve got some real bangers and should make a perfect Sun eve headliner. tbh there’s loads more I’d love to see and its clash central.
Any tips for a newbie?
Glastonbury is huge. You’ll be surprised how long it takes to walk across the site so factor that into your plans.
Mobile signal is limited.
Stay away from the brown microdots.
I have been told to avoid anyone selling anything up by the stone circles !
Playing three times, apparently
So from having no gigs ever to selling out venues with just him playing and Glastonbury in a year. He’s annoying but that’s good going.
Marketing professional gets three gigs at a corporate festival.
