I think the players want to do well and win a trophy with England. My guess is that this is one tournament too far for Southgate and his lack of tactical and coaching skills is a problem for players who are used to better at their clubs. I suspect the decision to omit Grealish and Rashford and the fact 12 of the squad are at their first tournament has also shaken the group up a bit.

Being a Liverpool fan i dont like Jordan Pickford and thought he was behaving like a twat but then I remembered that playing for Everton he rarely experiences being on the winning side so its kind of understandable.
Seems mad that the countryās #1 is a from a club regularly in a relegation battle but thats the state of things these days i suppose.

Of the players whoāve started every game for England at this tournament, Iād say that Pickford is the only one who I couldnāt criticise. He hasnāt put a foot (or hand) wrong.
Guehi has caught the eye at times - looks like a great defender - but even heās made mistakes and even managed to get himself a ban for the next game.
All the other starters have either made mistakes or looked lacklustre.
Not Pickford. Still far and away Englandās best goalkeeper.

Itās not the quality, heās a perfectly adequate goalie, and god knows heās been our saviour many a time in the past, canāt fault that. Itās the massive levels of constant drama. If any other position on the pitch were screaming at their colleagues like he does I think we would hear about it.
