Yes! Want Me Like Water was an amazing deep house vocal.
This Reflex version of the classic is almost an acapella.
Hard to beat Timmy on a good day. 4 octave range with that killer vibrato. So much soul.

Called the Queen for a reason, this is my favourite vocal of hers. Not her biggest or broadest, but the feeling is all there.

Not a vocalist as such, but a master of cadence - Sadat X

As mentioned before, so many distinctive vocalists shine in reggae, but Winston Rodney is always top 5 for me. Bim Sherman has been represented elsewhere here, but he is also top 5.
Billy Ray Martin never sounded better than on on this collab with the Grid - just etheral magic.

I’ll stop here and post more as the thread progresses - Top thread!!!
Definitely Dusty.
Great shout.
Sucker for Andy (also see Terry Callier)
On the opposite end of the spectrum, who the f*ck told Stormzy he could sing?!!
Grew up hearing all this kind of stuff as a nipper. What a talent.
I love this first Verve record. I think it’s highly underrated.
I know it’s the most cliché thing ever but Norah Jones, to me, has just the most sublime singing voice. And I like her piano playing a lot too.
Great post. Some of my faves voices
man, when he jumps the octave at the end!
Has to be said
Right up there in the Brit vocalist stakes, her voice really works well with house stuff too.
Never heard this before, so good. Another rough diamond.
@Apiento put this on TP years ago, I watch it regularly
