Oh yeah…the huerco is lovely

The first track sounds like a mashup of Rex Illusivii and Chill out!

Good to see Steve Boddy still going strong. His first LP was one of the most influential records for me in the early 80s.

Loom Dream by Leif is a lovely album that I don’t think has been mentioned yet. Sounds like a long walk starting in a forest and ending in a car park.

Would love some more recommendations on some Japanese bits in the vein of Hiroshi - love Green and Music for Nine Postcards but have only really dipped my toe into this stuff.

Good start point would be the Kankyo Ongaku compilation on Light In The Attic, other Yoshimura gems are Flora and Wet Land. Also there’s Haruomi Hosono’s Mercuric Dance and Watering A Flower,
And the music of Kenichiro Isoda, Yoshio Suzuki (Morning Picture), Masahiro Sugaya (Horizon vol1), Midori Hirano (Invisible Island), Satoshi Ashikawa (Still Way), Yutaka Hirose (Nova + 4)

Think this might keep you quite busy :slightly_smiling_face:

From Argentina, Gustavo Cerati and his project Ocio

There’s so much ambient music released that I rely on a few labels as filters!

Pretty much everything on 12K

Whitelabrecs from the UK is a goldmine and consistently interesting

I always recommend a few ambient albums through the site, Sunday is pretty much always ambient day! I also keep the Slow Ambient playlist fairly fresh.

I love this, he went quite a bit more uptempo after this release, but still keeps a nice vibe to his music.

I was digging AI more a while ago a lot of their newer releases have been a bit darker and more experimental. I love the Theo Ellsworth artwork though, check him out on Instagram, always worth a peep. I ordered some slipmats from AI recently with his work on them:

Yeah, he’s a master of finesse, also as a dj, great skills!

Always go back to this as a solid horizontal staple:

That tune is an all time fav for me. He’s also behind this lovely album on Firecracker.
