Never really been a fan of RSD, partially because the records id like reissued never materialise.
Just popped into Elephant Recs in Winchester today and the guy there told me he wasnt bothering with it this year. Fairplay imo.
I think this is the only RSD limited edition I’ve ever bought.
10 years later I can still get a mint copy on discogs for a tenner plus postage.

Copped my only RSD ‘want’: the Shakespears Sister 12" at my local shop, the lovely Vinyl Frontier in Eastbourne at lunchtime today. No queue, no fuss and a nice loud, crisp pressing too

Got home from work this afternoon and the postman had dropped this off. My good friend at Universal sent me a copy. Lovely surprise.

I went, queued for a bit. The kids wanted wicked, the old men wanted oasis and suede, both young and old wanted Bowie. I got Shakespeares Sister, David Sylvian, Art of noise and Charli xcx/ Billie Eilish.
I knew I didn’t need to queue for that lot and was going to go in the afternoon, but hey woke up early and the sun was out.
I can’t remember who it was but when RSD took a turn towards big labels reissuing any old shit a store put up a sign that simply said, “we don’t have RSD titles but we probably have the original pressing at a fraction of the price”.
i managed to snag the latest Brazil 45 box set, but noticed that the price had gone up by a tenner from last year.
that’s some killer inflation in 12 months!!!
