Ours not necessarily a roller but always fancies a bite out of a decaying pigeon if there’s one available.
Dog we had when I was growing up, flat coated retriever… A lovely boy. Had a real penchant for rolling in a rotting hedgehog.

That’s weird, our Cocker Spaniel did excactly the same thing at Sea Palling. Let him off the lead and he found it about 100 yards away from us and had a fairly lengthy roll in it before we realised what was going on. Fucking hummed something rotten (literally). We hadn’t even checked into our Air BnB, we had to let him swim in the sea for half hour to try and get the stench off of him. That’s him looking pretty happy with his mornings work…

Our Gloria loves a roll in some sh*t, but her pièce de résistance is human turds. We sadly have people sleeping rough in the woods near us and she’s been known to seek out and roll in a man poo from time to time.
