Just the real world where the majority like the same 20 records and don’t enjoy campy sound. The host won’t be the only one without the dream disco wife. We are both fairly full on collectors of genre so the irony isn’t lost on us.

They are camp! I’d play them all down the record fair and they would be Loved by all the middle aged men. ‘Love to love you baby’ say, less so…

Keep em coming, some I had and didn’t know! Plenty of last minute searches to source any or all of the above.

Were it up to me, and had a ‘rock’ brief, I’d go for a cheeky but accessible hippy/freakout/arsonist vibe

eg

Chicago i’m a man (rub n tug)
Santana - jingo/soul sacrifice
Nilsson jump into the fire
Jefferson Airplane white rabbit
Lynyrd Skynyrd freebird
Doors - riders (lenny ibizarre)
Doors - light my fire
Crazy world of arthur brown - fire
Jimi Hendrix - wild thing

And

Can - vitamin c
Skatt Brothers/Kiss - deffo!
Billy Idol - white wedding
Who - eminence front
Stones - miss you

Copy and pasted, my host DJ will check for these. Thanks!

An edit, Arthur Brown did play at the local rock club a street down from here. They are big fans of him.

How about one from this lot

No I get that- people are into whatever they’re into - it’s when they use the word gay as an insult in 2025 -that’s not your fault though.

Probably dead obvious but LZ whole lotta love has torn the place asunder on the few times I’ve played it out.
Might need the right context though.
