This will be my last post on the forum. I was largely an infrequent poster, but I discovered some good stuff and had a few nice discussions, and of course shared my music with you; so, here’s one for the road.

Today I have for you my latest, True Faith. As you may or may not recall, I returned to my dance and club inspired side-project, Unlimited Oceans, after three years away with “Rhythm Of The Heat” last month. “Rhythm Of The Heat” was a 90’s inspired dance number and the lead single for this EP, True Faith.

As I say in the description on Bandcamp, this is the most uplifting, club inspired UO release yet. It’s rooted closely in 90’s and early 00’s dance, rave, eurobeat, etc. I wanted to capture that spirit while still grounding it in the sort of hi-fi dreaminess that UO occupies. That’s kind of where the title comes from, in addition to being named after the New Order song, I think it alludes to the “religious experience” side of this type of music; the emotional, euphoric, otherworldly, transcendental nature of it.

This release was actually supposed to come out a little further down the line but I ended up prioritizing it and giving it my full attention the last couple months, because I really needed to work on something emotive and positive. This has not been a happy time in my life. I’ve always been prone to highs and lows and the first part of the year was largely good, but this latter half has continually been a kick in the teeth. I do think I’ve recently turned something of a corner, but it comes and goes, and likely will for some time.

Thanks to everyone. Whether we knew each other outside the forum or you discovered me here, I appreciate you listening and checking out the music. It’s been cool. I’ll still be doing my thing, feel free to follow me on Bandcamp to stay abreast of new stuff as I turn my attention to future projects both inside and outside Faint Waves. If anyone else is so inclined in the future, you’re free to share my stuff on the forum, I welcome that. It’s just an ever changing landscape, the internet and social media, and I wager I’ve personally checked out. Those of you who paid attention to what I had to say here at times will not be shocked by that.
