Brill thanks. That’s the one.

Bless them. They seem to have the decimal point in the wrong place :flushed:.

100% polyamide outer with 100% polyamide lining… Probably costs £1.50 per piece. Made in the same factories that produce for a multitude of different businesses…

Oh wait its plastic that’s made in italy OK cost to produce £2.50

Sigh.

I bought some Fracap very similar style. Sent them back, they didn’t fit at all. Try on if you can!

Oh, these are made to order?! Crack on then!

I’ll also add that the Fracap’s I’ve owned have been extremely uncomfortable.

These might be different though.

Good to know, i was considering some Fracap’s.

I’m in the market for some waterproof trainers or boots for the winter, any tips? I’ve bought a couple of pairs of Gore-Tex trail runners (NB and Adidas) and they are way too narrow for my weird feet.

My goto shitkickers are Blundstone, proper good for muddy walks foraging. Spruce up nicely for the odd trip to buy a latte. Not too spendy either.
Easy to get off too.

i have wide feet. if you’re not adverse to nike, these are quality constructed, may not be too great on the trail though…

These are good and very comfortable. They’re a year or two old though, not sure if there’s a 2025 model.

Get some Mephisto Rainbow’s. They’re not GORE-TEX but they’re great for the winter.

I just started jogging again and bought some Hoka’s. Have to say these are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever bought.

NB do wide and extra wide versions, but only through certain portals, and always full price dagnabbit.

just been through 2 successive models of Hoka Kaha lows, and they seam to have gotten narrower, stiffer, and chunkier (kaha 1 low gtx still top 3 comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn)

about to try NB hierro v9 gtx if which I’m excited for because alot of reviews complain too wide and too warm. perfect for me.

Im on Hoka 9 Clifton Goretex (i like going running in the rain ) at the mo, really good pair after a being on New Balance Hierro’s for some years.

Have had a mixture of hoka Clifton 9 gtx and mb hierro V8 over the last 18 mths. Both great shoes. Hoka’s have great cushion but the hierros outlasted them by a cpl of months I’d say before needing replaced.

Trying to decide which way to go for my next pair here. The hierros look better imo and can be worn casually so that may swing it

These are one of the pairs i bought, I wouldn’t say the standard ones are wide at all, my toes felt super squished. Would size up or go with the wide version.

I recently went for a gait analysis and fitting at the Runlimited branch on Baker St (in That London), something that I’ve never done before, but found it an extremely worthwhile 30 mins or so. It cost £15 for the consultation with no pressure at all to buy anything (the money is redeemable if you do though). Tried on several pairs from numerous manufacturers, but settled on the Nike Structure 26 (which is a shoe I would not have considered otherwise as i’ve always been an Asics wearer previously). A few weeks of using these, and I have noticed a big improvement in comfort and performance.

Was just looking for an old screenshot and instead came across this Chris Rea adidas windbreaker that I stumbled across on Depop in 2020, unfortunately didn’t purchase at the time and probably long gone…

I was thinking about that recently, looking at new running shoes and there is just too much to think about (especially as style is not a consideration, in fact if they look good I tend to think they can’t be good for running). Glad to hear it worked out. I might go for it.
