Clobber - a clothes thread

I found some Beams, engineered garments and YMC in the TK max near me . Was all the proper stuff , admittedly there was only one piece of each bit of clothing .

With the folk stuff I’ve had some good bits out of there but some of the t-shirts do look a bit shit .

Folk definitely manufacture a range for TK that differs from their core offering. Some of it’s ok.

A fair amount of YMC and UW stuff lands at city stores, always proper but last season

There’s an Italian vendor, Yoox.com, who always have a decent amount of YMC, UW etc on sale. Shipping isn’t cheap but some bargains to be had most of the time

The Folk TKMaxx shirts can be nice, the T shirts I think are poor quality and are basically rubbish after two washes

I bought four Folk tracksuits from TK MAXX to wear during lockdown (we all went a bit mad i think) and they have endured really well but its clear from the volume and design compared to the mainline folk stuff that it must be desgined specially for TK MAXX

There’s a fair bit of UW in the End sale, worth a look as mostly 40% off

Thanks mate - yes, I’d looked there but I’m after a very specific pair of their trousers. Will just have to bite the bullet.

Yes me too. Would like another pair of the military pleat/twill jobs. I think you’re to blame if I’m honest :joy:

It’s the double pleats I’m after in black. I think they’re actually about 4 seasons old now, but I basically live in the other two.pairs I have for work.

Our 2 week caravan holidays in the late 70’s never looked like this. Mainly Frey Bentos pies, board games and wondering when it would stop raining so that we could set up the Swingball.

This explains my caravan memories perfectly
