Does anyone have any discount codes for Universal Works. Annoyingly, the FAMILY one works and knocks off 50%, but then once i enter my email says discount not valid - so i asume you need either a UW email address, or similar.

I used to buy quite a bit in the early days, but havent in years. They appear to make mainly for TKMaxx - go in any store and it’s chock full of poorer quality pieces. It’s cheapened the brand irreparably, imho.

I got a couple of pocket t-shirts year before last on their website and they’re still holding up nicely. Fabrique en Portugal / nice cotton. Very much like YMC as i have some of those too. they have a sale on now too.

I bought some t shirts in the last sale and am very happy with them. Great quality for £20. I’ve also got a sweat shirt I like. Had a couple of shirts years ago and the buttons broke very early on, snapped in half. Hope they would have addressed that issue by now but haven’t had a shirt by them since

Is the Folk gear in TK Max actually made for TK Max? Or is it just their stuff that hasnt sold elsewhere?
Always thought it was the latter but I recall someone on here saying that it’s stuff that has been made specifically for TK Maxx. Either way, the quality of it is really poor - there’s a TK Maxx near me that I’ll occasionally pop into if I’m passing by and some of the Folk bits that I see in there are no better than Zara, H&M etc.
The “regular” Folk stuff still seems to be good quality whenever I see it though, but agree with those above that the TK Maxx connection has ruined it a bit for me.
Supposedly, when you’re shopping at TK Maxx, you should check the top right hand corner of the price label.
If you see a number 1, that means it’s been specially made for TK Maxx. I think Folk and maybe Ralph knock out lower quality versions of their schmutter to sell more cheaply through TK Maxx.
If there is a number 2, that means it’s ‘proper’ quality stuff that brands have sold to TK Maxx, perhaps because they have over ordered and ended up with more stock than they can sell through their own stores. I think some Folk and Ralph gear also ends up in TK Maxx this way.
If there is a number 7, it’s also ‘proper’, but is from last season (or older).
