Clobber - a clothes thread

Still go my FBTs. They used to be relatively affordable in the days of Hideout.

I know there’s one corner of the internet where I can speak these shameful feelings.
Is it OK to have hankerings for a nice poncho?

Inspired by this extremely cool lady from the latest season of Queer Eye if we’re really going to come clean

Obviously this is before the Fab Five turned her into a completely generic person

When I first started going out there was a couple I used to see in London and Milton Keynes who wore matching Ponchos. They were impossibly blonde and good looking both. They never spoke to anyone, just spent all night in their own little beautiful blonde Poncho bubble, on their pills. Didn’t dance, didn’t really do anything. Just vibed.

I went through a “I must have a cape” phase, can’t remember quite why. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Closest I got was a Swiss army thing I found on eBay. Came in handy at least once.

Edit: might have been seeing Bruce Willis in one towards the end of Unbreakable

I have vivid memories of seeing some Italian dude wearing this in the West End in the early 80s. Changed my life (a bit)

Thinking of copping these - can anybody vouch for their comfort?

Clarks Desert Neighborhood

Those look brilliant. I bet they are comfortable as I have never owned a pair of Clarks that weren’t.

That reminds me I want these but I can’t decide if they are school shoes or cool shoes.

Every pair of Clarks I’ve had has been super comfy.

Yup. Correct sizing and often width fittings too.
Although I have had desert boots where the front of the upper has stretched a ridiculous amount (spoonbill)

Those are great

That Orlebar Brown site is a scam. Don’t get tempted. Not a secure website and a bit too good to believe.
