Yes to the colour, no to the badge.
The hoolie association led me to stop buying/wearing SI around '95, and I’d say it’s even worse now. Plus, with all the Clone Thailand stuff available, every chav and his dog is rocking it. Shame, as the fabrics are still amazing.

I buy it for my 16 yo lad who loves it.
The fabrics are still amazing, but the construction is poor compared to how it used to be.
It’ll probably get worse now they sold off a chunk to Moncler.

Yeah, I agree. Personally, I’ve always tried to buy/wear stuff that isn’t worn by the masses and certainly hasn’t been bastardized by every Sunday market in the UK. Some of the items i see with an SI patch in the sleeve are an abhorration!
That said, I can still remember a shop in Oxford getting it in (Lucky In Love) in 87/88 convincing my mum that £50 for a tee and £120 for a jumper was good value, and thinking I was the bees knees when out with the boys that weekend.

Yes, I agree on the masses bit.
I was very much an Osti devotee & tended to wear his other labels rather than the more popular SI line.
Left hand was probably my favourite along with Massimo Osti Production which was a bit more smarter.

Momotaro slim taper, aware the GTB stripes can be a bit divisive. Probably a year of pretty much constant wear then rotated. Probably 3-4 washes
