Clobber - a clothes thread

Expensive initially, yes, but these are some of the best T-shirts you can buy, imho.

I still have some going strong that are now over 10 years old. Same shape and the collar is holding its own. Considering that I’ve worn and washed them countless times, I’d say that was a pretty good return on the investment (plus far better for the environment).

Oh and they are beautifully soft after a few washes.

Yeah fair enough, it’s just a wee bit short in the body for me, but I think that is the style

On the t-shirt sizes thing, I bought a Total Luxury Spa one in XL and it’s large enough to host a small festival, or at least a large family camping outing.

I bought some of those Service Works chef pants in M and they were like Billy Bunter trousers, I could pull them up to my nipples

Same. They went back.

I bought them from Peggs & Son so was able to swap them for a Small the next day, fit perfectly (actually possibly still slightly rooomy)

That’s the one thing that bugs me about online shopping. The sizing is all over the show. I’m generally M/L, but I’ve been S in some things and XL in others.

I’ve got a returns list as long as your arm.

It’s baffling sometimes. I have some bits from the same brand where the sizes don’t make sense.

Yeah. Chest size charts on some of these sites baffle the hell out of me…

…and if something has a relaxed, boxy fit then that adds further complication.

I usually just order two and send the wrong one back.

As long as your arm, too long for your arm, not quite long enough for your arm, etc etc

Folk trouser sizing is bizarre like that. Just do the waistsize ffs

It’s a Japanese thing to measure the shoe in cms.
