Thought I’d make the effort to contribute cos I’m usually rubbish at these end of year round up simply because I’m terrible at remembering what Ive bought and listend to.
I think my favourite release of the year is the Thomas Almqvist - Nyansar LP. A reissue but don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned on the forum so throwing it in there

Big shouts to all the TP Forum for the tips and selections new and old across the year - happy festive season one and all!
It’s extremely diverse isn’t it? I’m intrigued to see what the Furtive 50 is and wonder how many votes it now takes to get into the upper reaches. Don’t imagine it’s many.
I’ve certainly got plenty of unknown suggestions to wade through from this thread so thanks to everyone who’s contributing. X
I think the fact people go out less is relevant too. There isn’t that communal reaction to the same peak time heat bomb. DJH was what 60-70% London? But people then dropped out or scattered all over the coast and beyond. You can still get a consensus on the hyped albums maybe but the bangers less so. My back of a matchbox hypothesis anyway.
I’m having a play through some vinyl right now and wondering if the Pete Blaker and Gallery stuff will be up there? Anything Harvey related is popular generally.
Payfone makes sense. Jim too although personally more love for the remixes. I went off Say She She tbh but they certainly seemed to break through this year.
Had a weird year this year, I still love music but i’ve barely listened to any of the vinyl i’ve been building up over the last few years and felt no desire to do any mixes or get on my decks and have a play like i’ve loved doing these last few years, not sure if it’s a temporary thing or not, hopefully it is.
Not bought much and strictly on Bandcamp but these are the things i’ve listened to and enjoyed the most, most of them discovered thru this great site.

Avalon Emerson - Sandrail Silhouette
Sade - Cherish The Day (Alex Nut Rmx)
