I recently moved to the city, just about to come out of lockdown. Any good club nights, music bars, less well known record shops, just general stuff you think is worth checking out?

Hi all. Reinvigorating this thread as I’m off to Berlin soon.

Never been before.

It’s a trip with my wife so looking for tips on restaurants, cool things to do/see that are non-club related.

Would love to hear any recommendations.

From Thursday for 4 nights. Got a load of tips but always open to more! Thanks again, youve been super helpful x

Will go to Berlin on a ”work conference” october 3.

We will be a mixed crowd of retired ravers , young go-outers and lovely people.

Thankful for any tips on bars and clubs on that date

Yes, many things to be said. Some spots I enjoy in no particular order:

Food:

  • Gotxa Bar - best Spanish tapas in town, seriously (disc. run by a friend)
  • Sora - vegetarian Vietnamese very affordable, nice and fast.
  • Umami - Asian, also fast and affordable, big menu
  • Niko Niko Ramen
  • Mayflower - Authentic Chinese Restaurant
  • La Bolognina - Italian rest, cozy and nice pasta
  • Öz Samsun 2 - Turkish
  • Zola - nice Italian pizza

Bars:

  • Neue Zukunft Am Ostkreuz - Original German alternative vibe, with concerts, jazz nights, cinema etc.
  • Fitcher Vogel - Busy bar at night
  • Bar Neiro - Faaaancy listening bar
  • Unkompress - Listening bar with natural wine
  • Cafe Luzia

Record Shops:

  • Oye Records
  • Hardwax
  • Sound Metaphors
  • …

Clothes I have no idea. Then for art and other cultural stuff, there are many museums worth checking. when @apiento was here he went to the Boros Foundation. Haven’t had the chance yet but looks super nice.
