'Balearic reggae' recommendations

This is another great song, with slightly more overt 80’s feel.

I love this track too, although it has more of a novelty feel to it, which I hope is lost for non-hebrew speakers:

I love this record. always remember hearing this driving back from some one of the lowlife festies feeling a little fragile. it kicked off one of Mudd’s old mixes. the perfect soundtrack

Wow, that Chalice ‘Grandmaster Flash’ cover is an absolute belter. £273.60 on Discogs though, yikes! That needs a re-issue ASAP.

EDIT - To be fair everything you’ve posted there is wicked. Great selection.

I’m scared to go through this thread in detail. Just got paid. It could be dangerous.

Funnily enough I’ve got a single dropping next month and one of the tunes is what I’d class as Balearic reggae :slightly_smiling_face:

There are some good remixes on the Select Cuts from Blood & Fire series. I’ll just list one, but I feel a handful of tunes across the different volumes would count. Here’s a remix of Impact All Stars by Sounds from the Ground that still sounds good to me.

I also want to highlight the japanese versions that are coming out from Park Rangers / Inokasira Rangers. Check out their 7" singles.

Yeah, I’ve been really enjoying their stuff, in particular the Blue Monday cover. I also like the sound of the new Brimful of Asha one too. Fun stuff.
