Art for Art's sake

Just discovered this artist today, (apologies if he’s already been mentioned), I don’t own one as prices are a bit crazy but am thinking to create my own budget version  This is the Simon Dunmore colab

Here’s a photo I took of some art at Glyndbourne a couple of years ago. Not sure if it’s the same artist. I thought I’d do my own version too :joy: Someday…

Ha yes he did mention his colab with Glynbourne, be interesting exercise to choose the 80-90 records that would make it into the photo

I saw on the Norman Cook one that he had two copies of Bob James/Two in his pile. Obviously a nod to going back and forth on the Mardi Gras break. Thought that was quite a nice touch.

Should be fairly simple to do your own version if you had a decent camera.

I think the same artist is doing a show in Brighton at the moment, with Carl Cox for his 60th. Was on the radio & everything

I’m selling these mini 8x10cm handmade colleges created from vintage books and magazines for £12 each with postage. They’re mounted on 10x15cm bits of mountboard ready to be framed. 5 below and lots more coming daily on my instagram. Would make groovy little Christmas gifts. Drop me a DM here or on Instagram if you’d like one.

This is my latest body of work I have just finished in the studio… spraypaint paintings done to music, mimicking DJ backstrokes / scratching etc, then turned into prints. First batch of tracks have been done! Store 2 — Sunil Pawar

A well-known mural artist Roc Blackblock did this a few blocks from where I live. Not exactly subtle but maybe that’s the point?
