Andrew Weatherall

His music, his inspiration, his mixes etc. have always been a constant in my listening habits and Dj sets. Legend. Very much missed but always present. He was also partly responsible for my most successful tweet ever - https://x.com/grohs/status/780809192689000448

Absolutely spot on. An awful film.

Andrew made it in the pages of The New Yorker this week. The essay has a bit of “drug memoir” to it, but it’s also a decent personal recap of the insanity that was 2020. The mix she is referring to is the NTS 2nd January 2020 broadcast. cc: What Are You Reading?

A lovely record.

That’s a hell of a grim read. Hope they both survived it all reasonably intact.

Balanced out by listening to that mix I’d not heard before.

The mix is a cracker. “Dusting the ornaments on the mantelpiece of your mind” !

Couldn’t stop reading it though.

totally. At various points I thought, don’t tell us this - it’s too intrusive.
