I just dug this out from the depths of my CD shelves.
I had totally forgotten it had all the radio jingles on there!
Hit me up if you want to hear it again.
Giving this one a dusting down.
Such a tune. Remember my mate J brought that home to our shared party house one day after heād been up in Manchester. We played it to death.
I know this isnt what is meant by ātranceā but it is ātranceā isnt it?
That (weirdly) doesnāt seem like trance to me but is probably my favourite dance record. Itās just perfect in every way.
Never heard that before, saved and it sounds so nice.
i love david alvarado records but have def questioned whether the ones i like veer dangerously close to trance or to tech house.
my fave:
I guess itās more dub techno, but made at that beautiful time when there werent so many genres. Still pretty trancey to me in that good eatly 90s way.
Similar to this I always thought
The album thats on, Mayasongs, is really good.
some of the stuff on here feels more prog than trance to my ears. Maybe because the early 90s was a real hotchpotch of flavours, tribal beats, digeridoos, panpipes, big atmospherics, which made it interesting and diverse. Whereas later on, when the likes of Tiesto arrived, they dispensed with any subtlety and went straight for the jugular, resulting in something aesthetically cheap and nasty. In my head thereās early 90s-German-good and late 90s-Dutch-bad but I guess that is a bit simplified given the way everyone from westbam to jam & spoon and torsten fenslau gradually went commercial
Dub house revival in full swing
Lovely track that one. Definite floaty banger!
pitch this down a bit -
This looks like a good readā¦
Just found this and checked this thread for it and sure enough!
(Iām assuming it was this one?)
Yes, thatās it. Ticking all those good 90ās boxes ![]()
Same producers I think!
Richard Sen aired this on full on his show yesterday
