Where's Music At?

The heights are dizzying & the tightrope thin, but balancing his bass, pedal steel, synths & circuits with the casual finesse of a circus performer Daniel Aged dream funks his way over futuristic Americana canyons & kosmische ravines without a second thought to the ill judged fusion depths below.

I’ve got to admit to not being a fan of solo piano work but I’m always happy to be surprised, & Ben Seretan has just leapt out of the bushes with a minimal masterpiece for NNA Tapes that is saturated in the sounds of his natural surroundings, & with plenty of space between key presses for me to contemplate the error of my ways.

Good to see Elsa Hewitt back with another of her increasingly ambient, genre ambiguous explorations of the spaces between the head & the hips, the ethereal & the earthly with her new LP of futuristic dream pop.

This is a proper far out cosmic trip though psychedelic rock realms. Nothing you haven’t really heard before but up there with the best of the acid popping, Thai-dye t-shirt wearing, sandal sporting freaks and toad licking geeks of the last 50 years.

It’s great to hear Ishmael Cormack returning to the Krysalisound pastures where, with his usual lightness of touch, he scatters delicate acoustic seeds into the soft electro breeze to further foster the ambient fields.

They’re doing the business. The UK nu-jazz continuum is strong…

Second that, love this record. That A1 reminds me of some of the best Tornado Wallace records.

Nice one, I think I’m preferring the A-Side. Nice to see you’re linking to VU, the source of many of my records!

Cheers mate, thanks for the kind words :slightly_smiling_face:

I hope you’ll indulge me with this one as it’s on my label but The Smoke from a Future Fire LP releases today, so take a trip through the widescreen, psychedelic ambient Americana world of The Howard Hughes Suite

New one on Crinan’s label (he is half of Parlour from Gothenburg). Sounds like a messed up cousin of ā€˜it takes a muscle’… Limited 7 - edition of 200. :upside_down_face:
