Iāve got to admit to not being a fan of solo piano work but Iām always happy to be surprised, & Ben Seretan has just leapt out of the bushes with a minimal masterpiece for NNA Tapes that is saturated in the sounds of his natural surroundings, & with plenty of space between key presses for me to contemplate the error of my ways.
Good to see Elsa Hewitt back with another of her increasingly ambient, genre ambiguous explorations of the spaces between the head & the hips, the ethereal & the earthly with her new LP of futuristic dream pop.
This is a proper far out cosmic trip though psychedelic rock realms. Nothing you havenāt really heard before but up there with the best of the acid popping, Thai-dye t-shirt wearing, sandal sporting freaks and toad licking geeks of the last 50 years.
Itās great to hear Ishmael Cormack returning to the Krysalisound pastures where, with his usual lightness of touch, he scatters delicate acoustic seeds into the soft electro breeze to further foster the ambient fields.
