Where's Music At?

Finally coming up for air after going down with the plague in the same week as moving house - classic timing after avoiding Covid for 2+ years :slightly_smiling_face: On the bright side the records and decks might be coming out of hiding sometime in the near future. Sob stories aside, this might appeal to a few:

Willfully deconstructing decades of carefully honed dance music tropes & sounds into bite size chunks, Droopy Eye hits the kitchen with a bottle of vino & throws them together with some sonic store cupboard leftovers to cook up a fiendishly familiar, fun & freaky sonic stew for Leaving Records.

The Slow House playlist is also ticking along nicely if you don’t want to go the full rave:

Ethereal folk meets ambient Americana on Golden Brown’s latest guitar led voyage through flourishing cosmic pastures for Inner Islands. It’s a beautiful place where late spring is eternal and all is love.

Golden Brown is divine. Been listening to this at bedtime - thanks for the tip!

New Chronixx produced by Inflo of SAULT/Cleo Sol fame.

If you enjoyed yesterday’s tip & you need more ethereal electroacoustics & ambient folk vibes in your life, (entirely understandable) then head right over to the new Black Brunswicker LP which is unworldly whispering adorned & even more weightless.

I’m a fan, he’s quite prolific as well but always seems to hold down the quality. You’ll probably get on with today’s tip as well!

I went to see Charlotte Adigery x Bolis Pupul on Sunday night and it was easily in my top ten gigs ever, would recommend catching them on this tour if you’ve got the chance.

I’ve been enjoying these young Welsh whippersnappers, Pys Melyn

That’s fine as long as you weren’t being chased by the police for stealing flowers or doing weird stuff :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the kind words - glad you’re enjoying it :slightly_smiling_face:

Also got an Ambient House one up that I’ve been updating more recently that might be up your street:

V.C.R. is blinding!

Gently restless in all the right relaxing ways the new LP from Chile’s Bahia Mansa for Quebec’s Florina Cassettes not only unites the America’s but is a rare slice of ambient endeavour eminating from the continent’s Latin regions.

Percussion - humanity’s first instrument, is given pride of place in this jazzed exploration of ritualistic rhythms, as psychotronic swirls add future mysticism to these hypnotic grooves from@orenambarchi, Berthling & Werliin for @dragcityrecords
