Whats the mix you often go back to that we might not know?

The mix below by Paul Nice still sounds ace. Tunes are brilliant and its all put together with just the right amount of scratching and general turntable tricks that compliments the music and doesn’t sound like he’s showing off

If you have iTunes you can rip it as one track…

Oh it was soul on the grill by paul nice but the link seems to have dissapeared…

This forum is ace… there’s so much good stuff being reccommeded all over the place. Can’t wait to check out loads of the above but i’ve got about 5 episodes of beats in space to get through first

Looking like he just woke up, it’s the super talented Edan cutting up Disco Rap & fitting in a P.A with Homeboy Sandman.

the one with argentina & la bionda i look for too

Edan’s radio shows were a staple of kitchen tasks in my old flat, the way he quite often doubles up the weirdest part of a record, rather than just the open drum section is always a nice reminder that it is good to listen to your gut when it comes to modern hip hop djing.

This mix by The P Brothers called “The Zulu Beat” (in case the link doesn’t show up from mixcloud) has been revisited by me quite a few times, cos it is a nice twist on that 80s cut and paste New York radio mix style.

This Resident Advisor mix by Young Marco is an absolute go to for downtime and/or work. A great selection of ambient tracks blended together whilst YM jams drum machines into the mix. Plus any selection that starts with a Bowie/Goldie collab is alright by me. :sunrise_over_mountains:

There’s a similar one called DJ Shan Frenzie - The Zulu Beat, less radio like but still very clever

Damn, this sounds right up my street. I recently got asked to do a mix in this style for a Glesga radio station, it’s a fun format to play with.

Mark Ernestus w/ Tikiman for Carhartt WIP from 2012 is a vibe, as the yout’ dem seh! :slightly_smiling_face:

The Six Million Steps site used to post some good stuff. This Greg Wilson one from 2004 always stood out.
