Popped into Fopp today & this was playing over the system, i liked the cut of it’s jib so picked up a copy along with a book of Tim Burgess’ lyrics, signed by him, for 2 quid.

He’s someone who i’ve been meaning to check out the back catalogue of but never got around to it so far, he’s also in Wooden Shjips isn’t he?
Need to listen to some of their stuff as well.

He is, Back To Land is the standout album for me but they are all good. His solo work is also well worth investigating.

I remember The Calling on a compilation I absolutely rinsed back then called Ambient Dub Vol 2 Earthjuice.
Had a huge smoke at my mates place in Camden and went back to MK on the train with the cassette on my Walkman and missed my bloody stop, I was so blissed out

West is good too. Although there’s a fair amount of straight up copying of old Loop tunes on it. Collision in particular
But then who were Loop copying to begin with?!
