Those rough trade sales are ace. I picked up a Leon ware reissue for 4 quid as well as other balearic bargins a few years back at the Bristol store🍬

I went on a bit of a Discogs frenzy this month and got the following:

Amor De Días - The House At Sea (side project from 2013 for Alasdair MacClean of The Clientele)

William Tyler - Goes West (guitar picking goodness with guest appearances from Bill Frisell & Meg Duffy)

Dungen - Allas Sak (those psychedelic Swedes)

Departure Lounge - Jetlag Dreams (widescreen instrumental album, recorded in Nashville, Tennesse on Simon Raymondes’ Bella Union)

Jorge Ben - Jorge Ben (1969 classic)

Various - Sad About The Times (Mikey Young does it again - a superb comp of loner tracks on Anthology)

Helado Negro - Live At KCRW (I can’t recall the last time I purchased a live LP - this is recorded so beautifully in the studio)

Os Novos Baianos - Acabou Chorare (Amazing, amazing record - voted by Rolling Stone Brazil as the number 1 Brazilian album of all time)

Quarteto Em Cy - Quarteto Em Cy (so much to love here from these Brazilian ladies)

Peter Ivers - Becoming Peter Ivers (I only just discovered Peter Ivers this year! A wonderful archival comp from RVG INTNL)

Rudy De Anda - Tender Epoch (Laid back modern psyche pop from this Californian with Mexican roots)

Various - W2NG 89.9 FM (Comp of AOR/Yacht Private Press smoothness)

Pastor T. L. Barrett And The Youth For Christ Choir - Like A Ship… (Without A Sail) (the sound of heaven)

Evening all.

Last one I bought was the Olefunken release Ubuntu Tutu/Sun City.

Absolutely been hammering Sun City to death :grinning:

Grabbed the Yumiko Morioka reissue of Resonance, from Métron Records. Beautiful ambient piano music, and the reissue has one of the most beautiful covers. Highly recommended.

Hello all. My record buying has stopped almost entirely (although I’ve bought a load of tapes lately) but I did make the effort for this one, getting all the Innate ones as they come.

This ep landed today, I kept away from listening to any clips, the whole record flows just nice, 4 great takes, I think Seans (Hardway Brothers meet Monkton Uptown) is my fav right now, a brilliant record x

Forgot I’ve also re-subscribed to the Höga Nord singles club - love their work and takes me back to my callow indie student days of 7’’ clubs

Been waiting on that Laura Groves LP since it sold out at US distro pretty quickly BUT I just got a very nice reissue of The Wild Tchoupitoulas LP which sounded absolutely fantastic at home. Had me doing a boogie across the room, rare these days…I also ended up looking up what “Two-way Pocky-way” means, and apparently it’s Creole for “Get the hell out of the way”. LOL

Last physical was probably Visions by Statues, out on Eclectics. Glad that got pressed.

Digital was Don Telling’s island mysteries I think.
