Goldie - Timeless
Was a very important record to me when it came out in 1995. At that point I was dipping my toes into all of this and needed a hook and this was it and then some. I’d never bought a record in my life before this and can vividly remember walking into The Funktion and asking for it, and low and behold there it was. I asked Rob behind the counter what else was good and he handed me Leftfield “Leftism” and I was too embarrassed to try and use the listening deck as I’d never used one before, so off I went. Whole thing took about 20 minutes and as The Funktion was ground zero for all the cool people I felt like I stood out like a sore thumb. Can remember being very red.
Obviously it all snowballed from there, and I wasn’t planning on buying the anniversary reissue but after the water incident I had to.
