Yeah its excellent. Starting to just buy everything on Good Morning Tapes . From Knowhere by Full Circle is incredible. Its all pressings of 500 so you have to be quick .
I’ll get on it.
Same here. A lot of new 12s are too expensive for me. I remember when DJs would make fun of me for spending £7 a record when you could get digital for £1. It didn’t bother me then. New records are a lot more than £7 now. Used to buy every week.
Through the post in the last couple of days:
Heard bits and pieces of this album when it came out but for some reason never heard the whole thing, I love Rick’s 3rd album and recently realized I should probably check this album out so checked some clips liked it added to wans list. One popped in decent condition in the UK last week so grabbed a copy, not cheap but its a good album
Also this week I got:
I got Fast Eddie’s album when it came out and it had Acid Thunder on it, but not the mix with the singing and thats the mix I loved, it was a track sometimes played at Coutney’s in Plymouth which is where Acid House Culture spawned down here. Anyways 33 years later I get a copy of the track with the correct mix
Top record that. Low Jugaderos on Jus Trax is a good one too.
It’s kind of understandable because of cost of production and transport etc but nonetheless it’s become a huge expense/luxury to buy new vinyl nowadays. Got two new 12s from Piccadilly the other day and with postage it was over £30. Insane. Only tend to buy things on vinyl that I absolutely can’t find digitally nowadays.
I try to only buy vinyl when it’s something special, something I know I will still be listening to in 10/20 years.
I’ve always found Piccadilly expensive, i live in Manchester but rarely shop there because of this.
Seven inch reissues, where the record company has already made money on the track over the years, going for 14/15 quid.
Ridiculous.
This has just been repressed. I have a couple of different releases of it already but I had to own this release too for the cover.
Funnily enough i noticed that cover the other day when i was online record shopping, it grabbed my attention for some reason
The typeface is excellent
Yes! Thats what it was…the typeface…definitely…
Just picked up a mint copy of this for 20p from Sifters Records, featuring Pop hunk Sven Vath lookingly all ‘Smash Hits’ studly on the sleeve.
Hubba hubba!
I hit the play button 3 times before realising ha
I was fckd at the time
Such a great sound on the Willie Colon, Yvonne Turner in the mix.
