Did it smell weird? (mine did, currently airing it!)
obviously I have now had to get it out to smell and yes, it is quite pungent although caveat I am not sure what it should smell like! Dunno what it’s made out of as it’s not vinyl. Not quite sure how to play it !
I never had this on vinyl and was inspired by the recent thread. Found it at a decent price…
Anybody got a spare $370 to drop on this? I want it but cant justify in this economy etc

More to come soon
Ooh intriguing!
Get in!
Just picked up a copy of this Sly & Robbie LP in Paris. But the bigger story is the place I found it: Best Ouest. My first time there and, honestly, I’m still recovering:
I told the guy I was scared of starting an avalanche. Thankfully I didn’t but he did when he went looking for his card machine. Then it didn’t work so I had to leave that Don Covay LP peaking out on the left. I only had a few euros cash. Now thinking I chose the wrong one record :-/
Looks like that mad record shop in A’dam. Quelle horreur!
Both LPs would prob be in my top 20, but the S&R has one of my alltime favourite sleeves, so I reckon you did right
Its been a while, need too gird my loins for another visit ![]()
Get ready ![]()
Oh lord ![]()
A mystery guest heading things up for the second release-
The charity shop up here is always worth a visit with some great bits of furniture, records and books. Some new stuff including this favourite LP of mine, but never owned on vinyl. Couple of quid and vinyl near mint.
Also picked up a proper filing cabinet in lovely condition for £20.
Don Ray peaking out?
eagle eyes
Thank you! Yes, that’s what I meant. My age-addled brain cells inserted a similar sounding artist into the recollection. Although it could have been all the dust that impaired my cognitive whatsits…
