Same. Bought a cd player earlier this year so could play my 300 odd collection. This little haul from oxfam was £12.00.

Ive stilll lots of CDs & my 20y old Arcam CD player wouldnt turn on as of last week & its not fuse / cable

Ah thats a shame. Those old Arcam cd players used the Philips TDA dac chips and sounded great. Worth looking to get repaired if possible.
