Whats the last record you bought?

Fun fact: we were in Canada over the summer and my son made us go to this exact spot for a picture.

One of their best. Assuming it’s a reissue (no brail sticker) so fair pricing rather than total steal.

I always like to play music to my god daughter when she stays over. I try to keep it upbeat and catchy. She’s only 7.

The last time she was here, she asked me to play the record with the “lady singing funny words and the washing machine”.

Took me ages to figure it out. I guess that window does look a little bit like a washing machine.

Camborne?

Famous last words

was going to order the kif productions album off the bandcamp. by the time the shipping was factored in, it was going to be $90 aaaaand there’s a possibility they don’t even ship to the US for (understandably deserved) political and financial reasons. OH WELL.

i then gave up and bought it from a discogs guy in NJ.

Added it to make up the postage, very good choice. The Ronnie Laws was the one, been after that since hearing it on a mixtape in c1991

picked this up recently, heard on a dj sprinkles mix and couldn’t stop thinking about it. love how toy some of the sounds are, gives it so much because it doesn’t sound polished at all.

I bought this when it came out.
Haven’t played it for years, will have to dig it out.
I remember liking the Gil Scott-Heron cover on the b-side at the time too.

Barnados in Truro of all places. I also met a shoegaze legend in the coffee shop next door.

Ah nice one, I thought it might’ve been Lost in Music in Camborne. That’s a little treasure trove if you’re ever in the area.

That’s strange, found one of these a couple of weeks back, there must be a fair few lurking out there, still a real nice track.

I’m a bit behind on the hauls thread updates.
