it does sound good, right? donāt know that i need that poster, but not mad that it was included.
Love Alek Lee
Never really listened to it before. Definitely getting a copy.
You wonāt regret it man
A mixed bag, including a different Candi Staton album than I ordered (guy gave me a refund)
Small Byrne/Eno phase
That Jamie Principle album is bobbins, I donāt know why I bought it really, other than that I used to have it on cassette when I was a student.
couple new deliveries yesterday. always kind of disappointing when they come on the same day, was trying to spread out the dopamine release.
big fan of andrew wasylyk. dude makes some gorgeous stuff. that dovs LP is similarly gorgeous, but in a very different way - both moody, but oneās almost traditional and the other is futuristic. and of course, the n1_sound - i didnāt think much of it at first but listening to it while running errands the other day and i changed my mind and had to scoop it before it was gone.
being that i loved the second dovs album so much, i went back and bought the first. was lucky to get my hands on the good block album - was going to buy it through bandcamp but the shipping to the US was bonkers. luckily chloe had it, along with a few cheap nang LPs. tbh i donāt love āvoicesā that much, reminds me of that early 2k arpeggiated trance that i mercilessly made fun of (so white!). but i do like ālifestreamā and who knows, maybe iāll develop a soft spot for 136 bpm again someday.
No way- we used to have the tape of this in my mum and dadās Guest House - used to get played when the guests were having dinner.
That saved me some time, was just going to look it up as Iāve not seen it before.
I have the same Tabu Ley & Mābilia Bel LP, picked it up on eBay stupidly cheap a few years back, cover nowhere near as clean as yours though!
Every time I play Hafi Deo Iām reminded of how absolutely perfect it is. One of those records that gives me goosebumps when I hear it on a proper system, and I always think of that John Peel quote about Teenage Kicks in which he said āthereās nothing you could add to it or subtract from it to make it any betterā.
I mean, you might like it, but itās very generic/smooth Steve Silk Hurley rather than the rawer stuff he did earlier, likeā¦
Agreed, itās awful commercial pap.
I have the Soundway single but when I saw this I had to have it. Itās VG+ as well. The other three tracks donāt hold a candle to Hafi Deo but they donāt have to, be hard to.
Same here, the Soundway 12 is the copy I play out but very nice also having an OG.
Feeling that. III sounded amazing on the walk this morning.
