Whats the last record you bought?

I’d say mid 90’s Disciples is the best example. Keeping the heavy UK dub vibe but adding some acid/contemporary dancemusic elements. There’s plenty of trance that tried to blend dub and acid/trance but apart from a few (the ambient dub comps posted above is an example) they didn’t really pull it off imo.

I’m building my vinyl collection back up again, buying a mixture of old classics & new or new to me stuff, this desert island disc is the last thing i’ve bought.

I can never listen to it now without expecting to hear Phuture - We are Phuture mixed in: Rhythm Doctor – Mister / Phuture (1990, Vinyl) - Discogs.

Also the flip Mister nicely continues the Acid Reggae from a few posts earlier.

Had a moment last night and bought a bunch but mostly pleased with Lynda Dawn “At First Light” and Jean-Claude Naimro “en Balaté”.

Just ordered a copy of Yellow Sox - ‘Flim Flam’ off of Discogs after hearing it on a Gemini mix.

Last week I picked up vinyl of a few recentish Growing Bin releases.

Lucky Are Those Who Hear The Birds Sing
The Person - Tide Life
Nuback - When The Party Is Over / Heartbeat Summer
Peter & Patrick Jahn - Abenteuer überm Schrank

Love the bin!

This just turned up. Hadn’t got round to it but noticed it was starting to go out of stock. Ended up buying from WHSmiths, first record I’ve bought from them in about 35 years
