It maybe makes more sense now with the world the way it is than ever before. Piers and I are doing Brilliant Corners tonight and I totally plan to play it loud towards the end : )

it’s funny. i have this thing with my 15yo son where we have musical “conversations”, he’ll play me something he’s listening to and i “reply” from the crates (digital or otherwise). this album was my reply when he brought Sault to the table, he “allowed” it…

Hahaha. Its a patchy album (I think the hip hop stuff dates it) but where it’s good it’s pretty amazing.
Picked up a copy of ‘Hear The Drummer Get Wicked’ recently for a quid, i’d never heard the B Side before but it’s good, gave it a spin this morning 
Went to see them again on Friday night, was a bit apprehensive but some really beautiful moments in the set.

Art pop vocalist Akiko Yano teamed up with Japan and producer Ryuichi Sakamoto for this gem of Japanese synthpop.
Newly reissued on WEWANTSOUNDS, the tracks on ‘Ai Ga Nakucha Ne’ are sung in both Japanese and English, closing with a duet between Yano and David Sylvian.
