Whatever happened to…

The Propellerheads?

Anyone know? They were everywhere at one point.

Decksanddrumsandrockandroll was the first album I bought with my own money (on CD), and I’m very happy to own it on vinyl too. I loved that record. It’s such a slice of early 2000’s music, but I do think they nailed it. Plus, the cover was two dudes walking away from an explosion which was the coolest thing ever to 13 year old me.

No idea what happened to them, but I love what they left behind.

looks like one of the dudes was working with brian dougans of FSOL as recently as a few years ago.

…Fay Wray?
That delicate satin-draped frame;
As it clung to her thigh,
How I started to cry,
'Cause I wanted to be dressed just the same!

There’s a girl in 3B
With a wart on her knee
And a pimple upon her behind.
I gave her 2p and she showed them to me
Don’t you think that was awfully kind?

Lots of great stuff on WoS mid 90s. That E Klektik mix of Zoot Woman was my fave. Fun times in Brighton to that tune.

Max Brennan aka Fretless AZM/Mawwell House etc etc
I heard some pretty disturbing rumours but that’s all they are to me until confirmed.

Thanks for the info.
There are so many double acts of that time still going or reviving (Groove Armada/Basement Jaxx/etc) I saw a record on Discogs and the question popped up!
