What you going to?

€18 at easily the best venue in Ireland…

I’m sure she’s lovely but the whole thing doesn’t sit well with me I’m afraid. From an incredibly privileged background with close family ties to a facist monarchy/military regime that has constantly denied the wishes of the people in the most unequal country in the world.

Bet it was easy for her to get a visa for the UK.

My faves! Amazing gig always.

Have no idea of the whole thing?! I know nothing of her family background and just took her at face value.

She has been friendly and kind on both occasions I have met her.

What’s the story there then?

If this is to be believed she came to success the hard way?

It’s not for me to go into and I don’t want to start a shitstorm on here. Thailand affairs don’t matter to 99% of folk in the UK as long as the Thai owners of their favourite football teams keep pumping billions in.

If she’s doing good things with her life then I guess it’s all good, let’s leave it there.

And anyway, most folk running the scene are from privileged backgrounds anyway so nothing new there.

Cool, what a band they are. Mind blowing live.

Ok sold now… where they are playing would be like in your living room… great venue.

Not been to Hare in probably 12 years

I haven’t really played out since COVID and did a set a friend’s wine bar last night. Mostly house-y stuff but the vibe was great

NGL I thought about sneaking the dub in there

Saw Ultramarine at The Lafayette in King’s Cross this evening. A brief (30 min.) performance of really beautiful and beguiling music that shifted from a drifting pastoral dream state into something tougher, pulsing but still pleasingly unbalanced. Here’s hoping they play publicly more often in the near future; I could have listened happily for another hour.

If there’s anyone here in the Bay Area, I’ll be playing tunes this Friday night at Probably The Best Wine Bar In The World, Bar Part Time.

I hope no minds me doing this but I have 2 x tickets for Louie Vega’s Elements of Life show tomorrow evening @ Outernet (Soho). Sadly can’t go now so just listed them both for half price on Twickets (£41 for the pair). So bit of a bargain and hope they can find a good home.

Ears still ringing from an epic Johnston & Ivkovic last night at Sala Apolo. Tremendous acid remix of flash & pan walking in the rain id?
