Didn’t realize this was this weekend! Much more reasonable and within walking distance of my work. 
If I stick to Friday who else should I see besides Joy Orbison and Ben UFO? The other names are unfamiliar and I can’t make Saturday work unfortunately.

Cork jazz festival looks great this October Bank holiday.. Masters at Work in the opera House should be excellent and Muireann Bradley who’s next album has people raving about already..

just back from “eternal sun”, in sougia
what a beautiful place and weather, for the week i was there
amazing setting, for a club and it looked and sounded great. beers about 5 euros and a bottle of water was maybe 1?
a 10 min walk to the beach and digs
loads of faces, and heard some great music in the club - especially saturday night
myself and a fellow NE dj / promoter (nice one rich), got to play for a couple of hours at a hastily arranged bar on the front, saturday 1800 to about 2030 so just over an hour that included a favourite from cantoma’s 1st lp, then a begin track that came out on love international… from there, a good few ‘overplayed’ ones that i thought were right for there and then - ami stewart “friends”, grace jones “slave to the rhythm” (rough 2 deck ‘edit’), joyce sims “come into my life” (pianopella), sade “paradise”, primal scream “come together” (weatherall mix) and then 2 for stoker - the blue nile “headlights on the parade” and talk talk “life’s what you make it” - which prompted a great convo about the seal version and helped form a friendship and more music chats, for the rest of the stay. a few tears and cuddles for the lovely boy!
after that, the saturday night was mostly a blur and tbh, 0730 pastries and another big bottle of mythos and chats on the beach about gfx “eternal” and the NE club scene going back to the 90’s, was more than enough for me!. meaning i’d ruined myself for sunday’s evening session with fergus and tako… great (seated) selections from then both. unfort, 1 beer and zero NRG for nosedrip and optimo. heard their new beat selection about 0200, but i was running on fumes
days after to recover… ate so well and just soaked up the sun
hats off to lewis and rees and everyone else working so hard to make it happen. i was told there were far better numbers at this one, so i’d HIGHLY recommend 2027

Had really wanted to get to this but just couldn’t make it work this year by the time it came to my attention. Already in the plans for next year and really good to hear about it, thanks for reporting back!

Musical fruits in Bristol next Saturday! Any Bristol crew going??
This is on in Sheffield now, at new gallery MemoryDance - an exhibition of work by the late Shaun Bloodworth - an old friend who photographed a load of underground electronic artists like Skream, Martyn, Flying Lotus, Four Tet, Ikonika, Mala, Redshape, Falty DL, Steffi, Optimo among many others. He also made some really lovely short films.
There’s a free launch party next door to gallery at Gut Level - this Thursday.
Music from Sheffield legends The Black Dog, Oris Jay. And a bunch of new school youngsters.
If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit.

attended a free beach party near us on Saturday (which is a rare thing in these parts). The atmosphere, crowd, weather, security, sea were all spot-on but occasion sadly undermined by the DJs insistence on the most horrible bouncy tech house known to man.

Just unaffordable. Like much of life at the minute. I saw them back in the day, that’s enough for me. Good luck in getting reasonably priced tickets

Will prob go, 1 slane, 2 Glasgow, 3 knebworth.Surge pricing is just unacceptable. Would be disappointed if the band themselves allowed it after hearing about last time round, but money talks, and with that disclaimer there Ur probably right. That’ll put me off buying.
Between the oasis and Glastonbury tickets, the next week is pivotal for my summer 27 plans

I went Knebworth, Amsterdam, Manchester.
Mainly hoping to get some for my son. Didn’t realise how much he wanted to go last year until it was too late. Not massively bothered myself having seen them back in the day but Amsterdam in July would be a good laugh.
