Oft, went to this one and it was truly great. These guys are seriously dangerous
How’s the venue?
Manuel Rheingold brings his digitalized record collection built over years of travelling the world – from Japan and New York to Amsterdam, Barcelona and now London. His sets are eclectic, warm and unexpected.
He’s presenting a dual concentric Tannoy sound system plus one sub, delivering a hi-fi yet powerful sound. For this occasion, he has rented a tower to host a 4-hour sunset DJ journey next Saturday.
This is underground and independent – Manuel has shared decks with DJ Garth, Trevor Jackson, Andrew Weatherall and many more. He’s new to London, has no established network here, but he’s friendly, kind, loves to share knowledge and is always up for a drink and a good conversation.
If you can’t buy a ticket, don’t worry – please just come down, say hello, and support. He deserves an opportunity. Social media is not his thing (in fact, he dislikes the politics behind it), so word of mouth is the best way.
This Saturday in London – if you’re around, come down. Manuel is open to collaboration: Dj Culture lovers, record collectors, home DJs looking for a first opportunity – he’s ready to share his sound system and join forces to make Dance Not Dance a beautiful collective project.
Manuel Rheingold is a true underground DJ, and he really wants to meet you all.

Might have a spare ticket to the idjut boys at filly brook this Sunday if anyone wants one. Am not expecting anything for it.
I’m heading down there too, Simon. Will look out for you.
Also going to this on Saturday:
I’m there!
Let’s try and eat beforehand this time! I know you get excited and all that
Ohh that sounds great… enjoy
Should be there too
I went to see Stereophonic last night and really enjoyed it. Well-observed characters and well written with some great comedy moments. The drum tuning scene and the bit about the brother who was an olympic swimmer were very funny. The contrast between the dysfunction of the band members and the alchemy when they clicked as musicians was clever. When I found out it was over three hours then this Peep Show scene sprang to mind but it flew past and would recommend it.
Beta Band last night at Barrowlands. Want to say it was amazing but I’ll settle on good. Felt like they were pretty under rehearsed - Steve even said at one point they had a new found admiration for The Beta Band as the songs were fucking hard to play. Quite a few sound issues too. They’ll be better by next time around.
I have a spare free ticket going for the Idjut Boys tmrw if anyone wants it.
Very nice to meet you last night Gregg. Hope you had a cracking night. It’s always nice to put a face to a forum name!! ![]()
