Grabbed a ticket for the idjut boys bite the day at filly brook in September. The last one we went to was the stuff of folklore. An old scout hut, idjut boys, Sunday afternoon. What’s not to love @wearethemusicmakers

I’m convinced there is no one else in London on those Sundays having as much fun.

A couple of us turned up at 4:00 and had good food intentions but the music was too good to leave the room. One of our mates turned up at 6:00 and was taken aback by how much it was kicking off. The crowd were amazing,

Are you going to the September one? Will need to say hello.

Mate, we were mullered last time. I’m asking the gods for more self control this time, but…

I’m out of town on Saturday but will definitely try and make it there if I can!

My first time at WOH and it was fantastic. Highlights included the dub set in Love Dancin’ on the Thursday night, the Charles Stepney thing (despite odd pacing, completely unneccasary power point backdrop and weird video interlude), Colleen Murphy and then chilling outside the Dingwalls tent on the Sunday to recover. Kokoroko were also great, as was (surprisingly, given I didn’t expect much) Loyle Carner. Some excellent jazz in the Tomorrow Warrior’s tent too, and then lots of other bits and pieces we stumbled upon.

Going to this also. The Mrs is trying to swing a day off on the Monday so she can come, but otherwise it’ll be me and a couple of mates.

For those heading to Body & Soul this afternoon/evening, I’ll be wearing the Rave Hat ā„¢. Come and say hi, it would be good to put face to a name

Body and Soul was a lot of fun on Saturday. It’s a good outdoor space at the Cause and the rain gods smiled kindly on us. It was great to meet Tim and Patrick (the Rave Hat worked!) and hang out. The music is always going to be good with B&S but I thought they leant more heavily into the classics than on previous times I’ve seen them, a bit more deepness would have been good to balance out. The sound got pretty poor as the evening went on with some distortion and weirdly different volume levels between tracks. The contrast between the sound from the same Danley speakers in the Love Dancing tent at WOH was pretty stark. An excellent afternoon/evening overall though and can’t complain with being home by 11 after a good party!

Yes! Great meeting you and @TimIndulge. Claussell, Krivit and Kervorkian didn’t disappoint (although I’d echo your point about the sound). I also caught a bit of Ivan Smagghe’s set and PNNY Collective were a fun new discovery. Good times.

And you’re right, the Rave Hat worked a treat! The white canvas Vans were a mistake, though.

Yes, lovely to meet you both.
Its a shame about the intermittent sound issues, but otherwise it was a fab evening. DJs were on point and it was great to see so many youngers getting really into it.
Biggest reaction was that My Sweet Lord cover imo

I was at Body & Soul too  sorry I didn’t get to meet any of you guys down there! Was very much a crowd of two types - those original heads in their 40/50s and those young 'uns in their 20s! Not much in between - but nice seeing some younger folk into some great music.

Man, FK, Claussell and Krivit really do still have it. Much preferred this session to the previous one at Fabric. Danced non stop for a good 6+ hours. Lots of highlights but my fave track was when they slowed things and played what seemed like an extended version of Amadout Et Mariam - Bara (Claussell remix). FK also played a bonked d&b track that set the place off. Would also echo the sound system - seemed to be all over the shop in terms of volume and clarity. I do love Claussell’s EQing but he did seem to red line the system. Not sure what happened at the very end but think the soundman just abruptly shut the system? Anyway, great way to spend a Sat afternoon and evening!

Just booked flights to London in a few weeks time, 18th - 26th. Might head up to Liverpool for the derby on the Saturday, however John Gomez is playing Giant Steps that night… could end up being quite the day & night.

What else is on in London around those dates? Any tips?
