They were very grateful. Was nice to see
Thanks for putting them on @Apiento Their music is so loved and it was good to see it celebrated in such joyous style. It reminded me a bit of seeing Global Communications live at the British Library a few years ago where it is clear how much everyone in the room treasured their music.
Can we have a Nuron / Stasis double bill next?
Stasis has sort of quit the game. Good shout though. We’ve got a new one in the works so we’ll see where we get to… and tonight (btw) I’m here in Belfast at an underground one…
Some friends are making the trip to this
Went to Oasis.
It was absolutely pandemonium. Like some sort of mass group therapy session in a bucket hat fever dream. A privilege to be there frankly.
Richard Ashcroft was amazing too. Oasis had the anthems but the Verve always had the soul
agreed, re dj nature. started off with ONJ “I Need Love” and it was a real cleanser, after the previous few hours of some awful house music
i got to catch a boggy sunrise and would have liked to have done more. thanks paul, for the lift after and lovely to have seen you and a solid crew
Have a good one. Defo need to get down to London soon again for some debauchery and dancing.
What a fucking weekend that was.
Sorry to have missed you Tern. There was definitely some ‘interesting’ programming. When we arrived at about 4pm on the Monday, I felt like I’d walked into DC10 at midnight c.2004. Most definitely not Balearic. Luckily, Dean & Bobby were laying down the good stuff (to about 10 of us) - hadn’t heard this in years
They definitely need more Balearic DJ’s during the day*
*shameless pitch for a gig in 2026
hi mate
can’t believe we’ll have been in the same few feet of space hahaha
i caught a bit of bobby and dean - deffo a highlight. just great, sunshine music into the evening
We were literally only there for 4 hours - the ultimate splash and dash
Lovely to meet you and your lot this weekend mate. Top crew! Thanks for the Pimms
And you Mike.
I’ll drop you a message re. Chester when my brain starts working again.
a cracker of a weekend it was.
London weekender. My sometime oppo Brian Not Brian holds down Om all night long on Friday 1st of August
Then I’m doing the outdoor bit of Phonica’s day to night thing at the Carpet Shop, with Wallace headlining, on the Saturday
An excellent, sweaty night was had by all, cheers Paul!
Pet Shop Boys next week in Cardiff castle.
Wife just bought me tickets for Penguin Cafe here in Bristol in Nov for my birthday.
Friends are heading to Bill & Frank at late night tales next month so might get my dancing shoes on for that.
Mr Devlin?
