Played a few tunes last night at a record shop/cafe! It followed an earlier panel discussion which was also a lot of beardy fun. This lot seemed to go down well with the 11 or so diehards who stuck around till the end. The odd trainwreck, but nobody seemed to mind.

Yes we had a lovely time thanks mate. Started slightly earlier than usual but panned out pretty well - was nervous about the earlier start and it being dead for the first few hours! Nice vibe all night…WHT is ideal for us as its so close to the station for any London crew that come down and we’re also very local to there so it suits all our Brighton crowd too and it’s a lovely crew who run it there.
Just back from Berlin. We had the best time at a party called Wrong Era in a venue called Kater Blau. Proper seedy little space playing lots of great italo. Bell Towers was a highlight.
Thoroughly recommend it if your in the city. We were really lucky that my friend was playing, as I’m not sure the bouncer was gonna let us in!
People dress so differently in clubs there. Really quite alt. Lots of mesh and string vests! We probably looked like total squares when we approached the entrance.
Thankfully the crowd was lovely and we ended up making a lot of friends, but it took them a while to warm to us and realise we were good people. I really hate that people from the UK have such a shitty reputation abroad.
Anyone at Faith in a Field on Saturday?
…looking forward to the Luke Una 3hr set & Balearica Mike. Going with a mate who’s bang into his Jazz/Latin/Funk etc so will be checking out Bob Jones & the soul tent as well.
Vaultage party tomorrow in Reading (30 mins from Paddington for anyone Westwards). Nice cellar venue literally underneath the station. Very excited to see Richard Sen playing!
Less excited about helping load in all the sound, booth, lighting, art, decor etc in 30 degree heat🥵
My eldest son’s graduation for his first class Honours Degree with Masters in Theoretical Physics from Edinburgh University. One of the proudest moments of my life - and I did cry several times during the day.
