Did you go to the Lucky Cloud one on Saturday or the Cosmo one yesterday? Crazy they are both same weekends even…

Amazing
They are a real ‘family’ band for me, a lot of memories of listening to them in the car when the kids were growing up… so great to see them live after all these years

shrugs I’d say it’s modern based upon a few observations, on paul fishman’s website it mentions the vocalist Huxley mattchet is a youngster, mattchet is associate producer on this track and there is no mention of it being a reissue anywhere, nor can I find any published material in fishmans catalogue, in this style.

So either it’s modern, a project that was never released or perhaps a new project using old tapes. I don’t know yet.

For me this track stands out amongst everything he has done and the list is rather long…

Yeah, nice track and interesting find. Thanks for that.

My daughter is off to Charlie Xcx tomorrow at Malahide castle in Dublin, to say she is excited is an understatement lol. Venue is a nightmare to get to an from luckily they are staying in Dublin for the night… I think whoever came up with this Brat brand for Charlie deserves a medal as she has been everywhere the last two years…

imogene might not be directly responsible for the “brat” brand, but she is a creative director for charlie XCX…

and is also the daughter of legendary dj/remixer/producer/musicial (and all around nice guy) justin strauss.

They are great parties, been going since Mancuso was playing way back at the old Light Bar in Shoreditch, the Rose Lipman building gets pretty hot in the summer sessions. It also used to be on a Sunday which was always a challenge with work the next day. Great you made it for the whole thing, I’ve only ever managed that once.

Never knew that and just seen the album was released June 24,. Feels like it’s around for years…lol Charlie must pinch herself every morning after years of being on the sidelines…

Bit of coup on this, full production plan all done. We are collective of young artists hooked on the great things from the scene up to older New York Loft afficionados from 1993. Full high end sonics, lighting and artwork in a fantastic wooden dancefloor venue.
TP meet material, plenty coming from London, next to train station and we will look after you all x
Zaf is down for a four hour set and it’s going to go off.

I went last Thursday and it was insanely hot. Definitely detracted from the enjoyment. I’ve never really been a fan of LCD but caught the end of them at Glastonbury a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. A mate was keen to go so I was happy to go along. It was partly the heat and the muddy sound at the Academy (it seemed to sound best at the bar behind the mixing desk which was lucky as it was a few degrees cooler there!) but I didn’t really get into it to be honest. Too many similar sounding tracks and not enough groove.

Saturday was beyond hot, but I was forewarned and managed to roll with it and have some fun. Second time I’ve seen them, my partner is a big fan (although unfortunately wasn’t carrying one!). I’m just a casual but do rate them as a live act.

Crowd was good too. Minimal phones out. Do agree the sound in the venue could have been better though. And the heat was indeed insane, must have been affecting the band too.

Randomly stumbled across a gig in an old petrol station last night, ten minutes walk from where we’re staying. Couple of bands from the US, the headliners Sacri Monti from San Diego were excellent, stoner rock with early Floyd vibes.
