It’s a different beast imo. I’m not very good at it and usually just immerse myself and out. Not a lot of actual swimming happens.
I’m just joking,we live 2mins from the sea I’ll post a picture tomorrow from this famous swimming spot that’s like thee place to be seen on Sunday morning, dry robes, coffee wankers, family’s, kids with silly names with all kinds of allergies asking for all kinds of nut water on porridge from the tiny cafe I just go there and sit with my dog who doesn’t make a sound while all these people with rescue dogs try Calm their mutts down that just bark and attack everything in sight…lol
What’s happened to his music production? He was prolific with the tunes and edits a few years ago but haven’t heard anything new in ages
3 - 9 love it
Vibe was great
One of the best Idjut sets I’ve ever heard. Being classic contrarians, also one of the clubbiest. Uptempo right to the end on a Sunday afternoon, in a tiny backroom in Leytonstone. Everyone had an absolute hoot - incredible vibe.
Yes, was great fun, and one of the best roasts in town beforehand. Good to see you @Piers and lots of others. We had to duck out earlier than planned, but the music was absolutely top!
Yeah I don’t know. He did look like he was just on the verge of breaking through to the big time off the back of his ‘its album time’ album (and a bit of Inspector Norse).
But he was on absolutely top form on Saturday. DJ’d for a straight 6 hours and went from the cheesier end of disco to really trippy stuff and a load of absolute synth heavy bangers. Had quite a moment when I head the drums to Funky Green Dogs - Fired Up come through > not heard that out since the 90s!
There were a few things that I did wonder whether maybe new Terje stuff. Had that crystal clear synth sounds and use of melody that’s quite unique to him. Fingers crossed.
watching trees tickets have just gone live, nice little gang of us going from brighton as usual
Off to catch up with Darcus tonight. He and my wife worked together at Big Life when he was literally the tea boy. Mad to think he rose to become CEO of Island Records.
And OBE I believe.
I met him when he was a&r scouting, so mid 90s I guess. I remember being struck by his energy and out & out enthusiasm at the time. Definitely one of the good guys.
Was a fascinating and inspring evening! He’s such a lovely bloke and yes, in an industry full of snakes, definitely one of the good’uns!
Me! (hopefully)
Seeing Curses on Monday, 5 years on from that epic night at Convenanza
Thought Lowlife was good last night. Didn’t stay that late as had to get up for football today (ouch) but both rooms were banging and the vibe was great all round. Sarah Tonin and then Frank in the small room were excellent.
