Well gutted, I’m actually in the country and not too far away, the most crucial bit being that I’m here without family, just looking after my mum during the summer holidays… so I could’ve actually made it!
Oh well… Fingers crossed for next year!
Loved my time at Rotation on Saturday. Such a lovely vibe, a wanker-free zone, and particularly lovely to see and speak with a lot of people I’ve not seen for years (or met before). Ben and Dean really have got a great thing going on, all the right motives and all the right people, and a lovely sound system of course. I couldn’t stay for Sunday but judging by the clips the Idjuts smashed it!
Sounds like she’s going to have/has had an ace weekend!
I went to see this astonishing production last night Mnemonic | National Theatre.
Go and see it if you can. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s more of an immersive art experience than a conventional play. Incredible use of sound and lighting, brilliantly staged and acted. I’ve been thinking about it ever since.

I went with my 15 yr old daughter a couple of weeks ago. She hated it, but I loved it. Such a thought provoking play. As you say, stays with you.
