So you don’t need 8-10 remixes of the same track and a boxset/booklet then?

It just seems incredibly pointless especially as the track isn’t that hard to find, is it? They must have sold loads.

this is a guilty pleasure but I know it’s fucking diabolical lol. well, not guilty, but cannot find the right term for it. shameful pleasure doesn’t quite roll off the tongue in the same way.

it’s well gakked up.

Fucking great book.

His comments on Bear Grylls- representing a form of masculinity which is fundamentally useless- still resonate.

I have the (very) vague memory of a remix of Energy 52 that was all the usual pads and synth hook, but was all breaks with no 4/4. I thought it was the Kid Paul mix, but it appears not). I’ve never been able to find it and it may just be a figment of my imagination, or some kind of mash up.

People who are so scared of losing their jobs that they sugar coat everything to the point where we don’t progress one mm.

i’m sure there’s a killer outsider soundcloud breakcore remix of it but I’m not going to search it out. Listening to the Kid Paul original is traumatic enough.

Not really a what don’t you get. but kind of. Just got home from seeing Moodyman. He played what I can only describe as the most bewildering set I’ve ever seen. Elvis, chilli peppers tribe, super loud, super quiet, some really quite terrible pop house, all interspersed with chatting on the mic every couple of minutes. Blimey!!. Fortunately Carl Craig came on and dealt with my abject confusion. So many people just not sure what was happening lol.

Good to hear not much has changed since I last saw him at the Electric chair!

might be able to enjoy that in the right frame of mind tbh.

Remember seeing him at the Northern in Manchester many moons ago and his set blew me away. A year or so later he was headlining at some event (WHP Maybe?). Friggin awful! Like you said, too much talking, levels all over the show and the oddest set.

Theo P > Moodymann imo.

Not seen him play sers that I haven’t loved but can see why some of his sets are controversial. Much better producer than DJ for my money.

Had 6m on in background what I thought was Stuart Maconie in for Craig ( & typically like his soul sets on)

Its a saved Rave Forever ( I was playing the ALFOS one & then the 2 step garage one this PM!)

Oakey plays Izit Stories ( and said its from 87 - Is that right) and then Stary Eyed Surprise which is the worst record ever
I know he produced it BUT…

Turned over to Stuart

Nah, Stories was huge in summer 89 - don’t kno when they made it tho and he got a promo. Doubt it was 87 when he only got into B half way thru, but Alfredo may have played og. Yeah, SES is pure shite.

This was the night at the Chair. The curtain came down pretty quickly if memory serves me right.
