What are you YouTubeing right now?

As he’s been going through the back catalogue re-releasing it, I really hope the first day gets a vinyl re-release and Damage a first time.

The James Hype thing combined with the Aussie B Gal made me think of this, which I’m sure we’ve posted before, but always worth a rewind

Man he likes to overanalyse at times but this is an excellent critique of YouTube and how it has changed over the years, asking where art ends and content begins.

So much to take in, from Jon Anderson’s tracksuit pants and footwear, to the plethora of leather strides, to the parrots, the dancing, and the nonsensical action clips interspersed through the last half of it. Trevor Horn 80s pomp at its best. Everyone who worked on this video was high af.

This popped up in my feed yesterday evening. I’d watched it before a few years ago but thought I’d go again in the hope that it might create some stirrings.
I was browsing on my phone, doing other stuff, when this tune came on that demanded attention. I looked up to the tele to see a shot of the crowd where it seems one women looks at her watch, points to the speaker and says to her companion what I guess is “fuckin ell, it’s only five past 6 and he’s playing this banger!” :joy: I tracked it down on discogs and of course there’s one available for £150 :joy::+1:
Anyway if you watch it you’ll know the one, otherwise it’s a lovely mix of downtempo, acidy, wonky soulful lovely music from the master. I always wish he’d do more.
